For decades, dentures were made without a lot of attention to esthetics or comfort. Dentists didn’t have access to the advanced materials and technology like we do now, so they did the best they could with what they had.
Today, with the amazing advances in techniques and materials, the doctors at Orland Oaks Dental can create esthetic dentures that look so natural no one will ever suspect you’re missing any teeth!
It is our goal to provide our patients with comfortable dentures that are customized specifically for them. When choosing to have dentures placed, you’re making an investment in time and money. You trust us to provide you with a long-term solution that looks natural while comfortably restoring function and we deliver.
If you’re missing just a few teeth, we may recommend a partial denture that blends perfectly with the rest of your smile. For those who are missing all teeth, full dentures are the right choice.
During your denture consultation, we’ll spend a lot of time talking to you about your expectations so we completely understand your goals. We will take into account your facial structure, skin tone, and eye and hair color. When we have all the information we need, we will begin the process which leads to a wax mockup so you have an idea what the final result will look like.
Highly skilled technicians then use our specifications to fabricate your dentures, placing the artificial teeth one by one in the gum-colored acrylic base. This allows them to create a look that is similar to the natural spacing and positioning of natural teeth.
You may worry about the discomfort of new dentures. Many people do. However, most full dentures today are made using a comfortable acrylic or nylon base. We’ll take detailed impressions so we’re sure that the dentures will conform to the unique shape of your gums for the most comfortable and secure fit possible with by conventional denture standards.
For even more security, we are pleased to offer the stability of dental implants. Our team of doctors will expertly place four dental implants in your jaw bone. Your new dentures will be crafted with attachments that line up with the position of the implants.
The implants are then permanently secured to the denture, allowing them to stabilize the denture. You won't have to worry about dentures that slip and move because they're permanently attached to your jaw! This method, referred to as All-on-4™, has proven to be a very effective way to relieve the discomfort and instability some denture wearers experience.
Would you like the benefits of dental implants but don’t want to wait for them to heal before you can wear your new dentures? Ask us about the convenience of Teeth-in-a-Day. As the name implies, we can place your dental implants and then place your interim denture in just one visit. This method is the same process as the All-on-Four™ treatment, but delivers results and teeth in your initial treatment appointment!
We would love to tell you all about our customized dentures and how they can change the way you look and the way you feel about yourself. Please call the Orland Park dentures dentists to arrange a convenient consultation.
